The desktop app won't update itself

On a Mac, an app run from Downloads can't replace itself. Move it to Applications and updates work.

If Check for updates answers *"KreatorsFactory can't be updated if it's running from the location it was downloaded to"*, the app is running out of your Downloads folder. macOS sandboxes anything launched from there, and the updater isn't allowed to replace the app in place.

The fix, on macOS

Quit KreatorsFactory completely with ⌘Q.
Open Finder → Downloads and find KreatorsFactory.
Drag it into Applications. Choose *Replace* if you're asked about an older copy.
Open it from Applications this time.
Settings → About & updates → Check for updates now. It updates normally from here on.

Afterwards

Delete the copy left in Downloads, or you'll open the wrong one next week and be back here.
Leave automatically download and install updates switched on so this stops being something you think about.
Moving the app changes nothing about your account, your saved faces or your settings.
