How do I put someone — or something — else into a clip? (Identity Swapper)

Identity Swapper puts someone else — or something else — into a clip you supply. It has two modes; choose one at the top of the page.

For a simple swap of one person. Hair, clothing and build come across with the new person, re-performed in your clip's motion.

1. 1Choose Basic.
2. 2Upload a reference clip, 3 to 27 seconds.
3. 3Choose the person going in from a clean, front-on photo. What they're wearing in that photo is what they'll wear in the video.
4. 4Keep the clip's sound, or pick your own audio, a text-to-speech voice or a cloned voice.
5. 5Press Generate, then Download.

Advanced edits your real footage, so everything you don't name — other people, objects, the room, the camera movement — stays exactly as filmed. Use it for the best result, for scenes with more than one person, or to swap an item, such as a car or a product.

2. 2Upload your clip. Any length — we use the first 10 seconds.
3. 3Under Describe what to replace, say what to change in your own words: *the man on the left in the white T-shirt*, *the woman in the red dress*, *the red car*.
4. 4Add a photo of the replacement — front-facing for a person.
5. 5To change more than one thing, press Add more things to replace (up to 4).
6. 6Press Generate. It takes a few minutes; if you leave or refresh the page, you'll come back to the same job.
