My swap looks blurry or fake — how do I improve it?

The engine can only work with what it's given, so this is nearly always fixable at the input rather than in the settings.

1. 1Start from a better source. Sharper, higher resolution, better lit. This one change beats the other four combined.
2. 2Change the face going in. Clear, front-on, lit like the source. A beautifully shot face in the wrong light still lands badly.
3. 3Match the direction. Source looking left, face looking left.
4. 4Clear the face. A fringe, a hand, a pair of sunglasses — each one takes away features the blend needs.
5. 5Render again. Small input changes move the result more than you'd expect, and it's worth one more attempt before concluding it can't be done.

For clips, steady footage with the face consistently in shot swaps best. If you've been through all of this and it's still poor, send us the project and we'll look at it ourselves.
